BSU Article: BSU employee found dead in campus building 
Ball State University

A Ball State University employee collapsed while working Tuesday night and died from an apparent heart attack.

An electrician, was working at the Teacher’s College when other employees found him in Room 101. He was pronounced dead at the scene after 11 p.m. 

A history of heart and respiratory problems, according to Delaware County Coroner James Clevenger Jr., and likely died of heart failure.

The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded $5 million to Ball State University to help pay for the replacement of its coal-fired boilers with geothermal heat pumps.

News: Excise police issue 19 tailgating citations at Ball State homecoming 
Ball State University

Homecoming at Ball State University last weekend was no busier than usual with a handful of tailgate party and other off-campus arrests.

State excise police issued 19 summonses for alcohol-related offenses and marijuana possession to tailgaters at Saturday's Ball State University Homecoming football game. Fourteen juveniles were cited for minor consuming and possessing alcohol, with one jailed on possession of alcohol by a minor and public intoxication charges.

Excise enforcement will continue in Delaware County and the Ball State area throughout the school year, according to Brian Lang, excise police spokesman,

Ball State police reported a busy weekend, but no busier than past homecomings, according to Bob Fey, associate public safety director. There were no large party busts, Fey said.

BSU Article: Fall Career Fair brings more than 100 business representatives to campus 
Ball State University

The Fall Career Fair is today in Worthen Arena from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Career Center and helps students make connections with potential employers. More than 100 businesses will be presented at the Career Fair. Joe Goodwin, the assistant director of the Career Center, has provided students with some tips for the interview process.
